School and Workshop on Frontiers of Nanomechanics(at ICTP Trieste from September 23 to October 4, 2024)

Dear Colleague,

We would like to bring to your attention the "School and Workshop on Frontiers of Nanomechanics" at ICTP Triest) from September 23 to October 4, 2024.

This Advanced School and Workshop will review the fundamental concepts of nano- and optomechanical systems and introduce key ideas behind future technologies in these fields.

The 2-week program, modeled after previous successful events, is tailored for PhD students and young postdocs specializing in nano- and optomechanical systems. It will feature introductory lectures and research presentations on topics such as coupling nanomechanics to spins, nonlinear dynamics, topological systems, cavity optomechanics (theory and experiment), foundational principles, and non-Hermitian physics. Participants will engage in hands-on mini-projects, a poster session, and ample opportunities for interaction, providing a platform to discuss their research and connect with peers, speakers, and lecturers.

The application deadline is 1st August.
